Thundersley Rovers are delighted to officially unveil their 2012/13 change strip for our junior teams.

Earlier this summer we were thrilled to welcome our first junior side for several years back into the fold, with Ryan Scott-Douglas' under-10s joining the Rovers stable in time for next season.

Now, for the first time, we can reveal the away kit that the boys will be wearing during the forthcoming campaign.

Based upon the change strip worn by the 1986 Thundersley Rovers touring team, who visited the Caribbean on a three-week tour 26 years ago this year, our 2012/13 away kit is manufactured by Nike and features our new club crest on a varsity red shirt, black shorts and varsity red stockings.

And whilst the outfield jersey echoes that worn by Premier League runners-up Manchester United and Euro 2012 semi-finallists Portugual, also represented by Nike, the goalkeeper's kit is a nod to a player who was at the height of his career when Thundersley Rovers Sports Club was first formed way back in 1963.

Lev Yashin of Russia - known as 'The Black Spider' or 'The Black Panther' for regularly appearing in an all-black outfit - was one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. Indeed, the Moscow-born shot-stopper was voted as the best goalkeeper of the 20th century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

Yashin made 78 appearances for the Soviet Union between 1954 and 1967 and was also Dynamo Moscow's number one for an incredible 20 years - a fantastic role model for any young player hoping to emulate the pros.

Check back tomorrow when we will be revealing the new home kit to be worn by both our junior and (Sunday) senior teams.
