We are delighted to confirm that Thundersley Rovers have appointed Sai Raven as our new Child Welfare Officer.

Sai, who will be working alongside our existing CWO Claire Howlett will be in attendance at The Common on Saturday mornings during Academy training and frequently on Sundays too, when her son (who plays for Rovers' Under 8s) is in action.

From next weekend, Sai will be patrolling the training ground on a weekly basis as part of her new role. So if you have any questions about the Club, or if there's an issue regarding your son or daughter that you'd like to discuss in confidence, feel free to approach either Sai or Claire.

We thank Sai for agreeing to take the role on - and look forward to working closely with her in the near future!

What does a CWO do?

Club Welfare Officers have two key responsibilities. These are:

1. To be clear about the Club's responsibilities when running activities for children and young people and

2. To help club personnel understand what their ‘duty of care’ towards children and young people actually means and entails on a day-to-day basis.
