All training and matches scheduled for Thundersley Common this weekend have been postponed.

On Thursday afternoon (31 August), we were delighted to discover that Castle Point Borough Council's contractors, Pinnacle, had unexpectedly and without notice repaired some of the most heavily-damaged areas of the ground.

As a result, Thundersley Rovers have cancelled this Saturday's Academy sessions - whilst the one match scheduled to be staged at The Common this weekend will now be played away from home.

This will give the ground more than a week of non-activity (by TRSC) in which to allow the freshly-laid seed to develop. Our thanks go to the team at Pinnacle for their efforts in helping restore the playing surfaces.

Coincidentally, the works began less than 24 hours after TRSC had been approached by the local newspaper (Echo) in order to discuss the appalling state of the Thundersley Common pitches; you may read their story here.
