It was a great start to the new season with no less than nine of our teams in action!

A warm and sunny Thundersley Common was a hive of activity today as four of our Academy teams opened their home campaigns for the 2017/18 season.

Our Under 8s, Under 9s Whites, Under 10s Whites and Under 11s were all in action, producing two wins and two reversals against Academy Soccer, Benfleet Villa, Trinity FC and Hawkwell Athletic respectively.

Unfortunately the basic ground repairs carried out at Thundersley Common recently by Castle Point Borough Council were undertaken too late in pre-season to prove effective, despite the ground being fully rested for the past three weeks

Meanwhile a further five Rovers teams were representing the club at various other venues; the Under 7s Blacks and the Under 12s travelled to Pegasus Youth whilst our Under 7s Whites visited Wickford Town.

Elsewhere the Under 10s Reds featured at Hawkwell Athletic whilst our Under 10s Blacks were involved in County Cup action, as we won three and drew one of our five fixtures on the road.
