Dean Shamshoum's Saturday seniors narrowly edged a five-goal thriller at Thunderley Common yesterday afternoon.

Having won the first three games of the campaign, Rovers maintained their 100 per cent record in the Southend Borough Combination Division Three with a fourth straight success.

However they were pushed all the way in a close encounter at Thundersley Common; the goals for Rovers coming from Salter (pictured), Williamson and Ian McIntosh.

It was to be the Club's only game this weekend, with the under 8s clash being cancelled due to the opposition's inability to field a team whilst the (Sunday) seniors and under 10s matches were cancelled as a result of waterlogged pitches.

Thundersley Rovers: Baker, Manning, Koppit, Hamilton, Lund, McIntosh, Williamson, Salter, White, Davis, I.McIntosh.

Subs: Birnie, Shamshoum.

Goals: Salter, Williamson, I.McIntosh.
