The Saturday seniors wrapped up 2012 with another win - thereby maintaining their 100 per cent record this season.

Dean Shamshoum's side grabbed a 4-1 win at Earls Hall United to record an EIGHTH successive victory in all competitions this season and maintain their position at the top of the Borough Com Division 3.

1-0 up at the break through Matt Salter, Rovers doubled their lead early in the second half through Chris Davis before Earls Hall pulled one back. However further efforts from George Williamson and Ben Koppit secured the points for Rovers.

There was disappointment for the under 10s in the only game to be played at Thundersley Common this weekend as Ryan Scott-Douglas' boys went down at home to Southend Manor Lions.

2-0 behind at the break, Rovers had the chance to get back into the game after being awarded a penalty early on in the second half only to see Manor's stand-in goalkeeper pull off a tremendous save.

Having failed to make the most of a good spell of possession Rovers - who were without top score Kye Smith and down to a bare seven players - were hit on the counter late on, and the game finished 3-0 to the visitors.

Finally this weekend, the Sunday seniors were well beaten at Southray this lunchtime.

Forced to play with just ten men - and up against a side who were able to call upon four players from their first team - Nigel Purkis' side suffered a 6-0 defeat at Rochford Rec in their Sceptre League Division 1 clash.
