Goalkeeper Timms, who was appointed Rovers' new Seniors boss only three months ago required surgery following a horror challenge whilst playing for his Saturday side.
The tackle, by an opposing striker left him with a swollen calf muscle which required instant surgery to quell further swelling that, if left untreated, could have rendered Timms unable to walk.
As a result, Dan - who has also worked previously as Rovers' Academy goalkeeping coach - will be unable to play again this season, at least.
Everyone at Thundersley Rovers would like to wish Dan a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him again soon.
