Thundersley Rovers Sports Club have proudly represented the local community since the Club was founded in 1963.

Starting with just one junior team, who played their home games in a small field behind St Peters' church in Thundersley, the Club continued to introduce new teams and within a decade was winning a string of trophies at both junior and senior level.

Over the years, Rovers have played as far afield as France, Germany, Barbados and Antigua - and even against a President's XI during one particularly memorable tour back in 1986!

Recent Seasons

Thundersley Rovers' Sunday Senior team -managed firstly by Richard Thacker and then Dan Timms - once again featured in the Sceptre League (Division 5) although we bade farewell to our Saturday Senior team, managed for many years by loyal Club servant Dean Shamshoum. Our Under Eights Blacks and Under Eights Whites (jointly-managed by Brian Chester and Graeme Howlett) represented the Club in the SEEPL, as did John Duffy's Under Sevens Blacks plus our newest addition to the stable, Dom Markham's Under Sevens Whites.
